Rachel Roy Makes A Good Diffusion Line, Loves Anna Wintour

Last night at Fashion’s Night Out (the Anna Wintour/CFDA helmed event to spur the fashion industry) we caught up with the designer Rachel Roy.  When asked about her take on Ms. Wintour, Roy said “I can’t talk about her without sounding like a stalker.  Thank God for her.”  She cited the editor as an inspiration and a role model, particularly for businesswomen, which is how Roy described herself.

Roy was at her pop-up store featuring clothing from her well-priced collaboration with Macy’s, Rachel Rachel Roy.  We loved the one-shoulder animal-print dress ($99) she wore to the event:

Rachel Roy was calm and friendly, despite the madhouse that was her pop-up shop.  We’d recommend getting in on her style with a celebrity-inspired dress or a good cocktail dress.
