Wear Studs Without Scaring People

I suppose designers are trying to assert their authority in these uncertain times, because attitude-inducing studs are appearing pretty much everywhere. I'm certainly not complaining, as I think a little hardware goes a long way on an otherwise bland bag or shoe. Below are some ways to ease into the new trend.

These leather bracelets ($48) can be layered or worn one by one… and the studs are small enough for those not looking to totally stand out. 

You can always add a studded belt to your standard black dress, but why not branch out and try an embellished tank dress ($66) instead?

Shoes are an easy way to pull off the trend, and studded gladiators ($150) will work well with just about any warm weather cocktail attire.
