What To Wear With: The Dreaded White Jeans

Don’t be afraid of white jeans this spring – I promise, those larger than a size four can pull off this trend. Just hear me out.

The type of jeans you buy is important. Find a slim-fitting pair ($154) that hits at the ankle. Anything longer will start to bunch and look messy (and will also get really dirty).

Now the true secret to wearing the white jean – even for the skinny folk – is in the butt-covering tunic. I have a closet full of long loose shirts I wear with leggings, and now white jeans, that instantly make my legs look longer and leaner because they cover the rear and don’t cling to the hips. Choose a summery print or plaid ($23) to complement the white and battle the leftover April breezes by layering with a crop-sleeve jacket ($175).

Have fun with your shoes and opt for a wedge in a bold color or metallic ($83). Finally, keep it casual with some understated bracelets ($58) and a  pendant necklace ($92), and stash your stuff in a lightweight printed tote ($12.60).

I enjoy reading your White Jean article. The first time I discovered how causual-chic to put on a pair of capri length white jean while I was travelling in Nice, France. The locals paired the jean with a simple tee, or a bold print top, style up the entire look with simple flats or Espadrilles. I also love to wear with the new Gladiator high-heeled sandals this season…thank-you…from CozyPetal

I don’t know why white jeans get a bad rap. As with ANY article of clothing, it’s all about the fit. I wear my JCrew matchstick white jeans well into the fall.it’s still warm and sunny in FL well into December.
