When It Comes To Beach Prep, Three More Options Can’t Hurt
It's time to start hitting the beach, and you know what that means- time to do some beachwear shopping. The Daily Beast has thrown its hat into the ring with 19 suggestions for what they think you absolutely must have, but they still managed to miss a few essentials. Here are three choices that pick up their slack.
1. While the Beast has bikinis covered, it's not a bad idea to have a one-piece around as well. The ruching on this suit by Rachel Palley ($185) is great for masking minor imperfections.
2. Sometimes I just want to lay out on the porch or in the grass to work on my tan. For these waterless situations, there's no need to lug a heavy towel around. Instead, I much prefer a light cotton sarong, like this floral-printed Antik Batik ($70, was $100) that also doubles as a cover-up.
3. Vast swatches of sand can make the beach a veritable graveyard for sunglasses. Bring a cheap pair that you won't be upset to lose, like these 80s Ray-Ban imitators from Forever 21 ($5.80).
