The worst gift i recieved this year was a used candle, a used journal and pen set and a pair of used earings. My sister in law came up w/ the idea of playing a game called white elephant. similar to dirty santa but each person brings wrapped used items from home that they no longer want. I gave half a bottle of nice perfume and a good movie. Ive decided next year ill regift the gift i got this year and hope that the person that got my perfume and movie will do the same!

I received for Christmas from my ex-husband a dress that I had tried on for him while on a shopping trip. It was clearance item, he forgot to put it under the tree and had not wrapped it. This was our first Christmas. Should have seen the writing on the wall.

As an adult I received a box of 5 Jumbo neon colored crayons and 9..not 10 dollars from my Grandma. First off, I haven’t used crayons since I was in elementary school, and they weren’t even Crayola, they were some no name dollar store crayons. It took everything inside me to not laugh and thank her politely.

For Christmas when I was 12 my dad got me a Dr Laura book about the worst things that women (and by association, me) do to screw up their lives.

A sweater that was the wrong size and when was returned to the store it came from, was scanned to
reveal a cost of $13.00. The had never seen the merchandise so I couldn’t even do an even exchange!

I have a unique gift. My 95 year old former neighbor who is the sweetest woman in the whole world, gave me something she valued. I thanked her very much and went home to show my family the gift. It was a bottle of Prell shampoo circa appx. 1975. It was solid, not liquid from age. My husband wants to use it as a paperweight…..very funny.

My worst gift ever was during a secret santa I received a box of assorted chocolates, which, for a normal person would be great, except I happen to be both diabetic AND have a nut allergy. Since I don’t have a death wish, this was definitely a crappy gift.

For a gift, my bf at the time brought me a DVD action movie that he knew I hated but that he himself had been wanting to see! He said we’d be very happy eating popcorn and watching it together! The worst part was when he told me that he hadn’t even bought it but had found it discarded (or lost) in the street that morning but wrapped it up “beautifully” for me!
