Your Gladiator Is Tired. Give It A Rest.

What: Nine West Sorcerer Sandal, $64

Why: As noticed by the NY Times this weekend, the gladiator will always be in our closets but not always on our feet. The traditional Roman style has been our best foot friend for a while, but it looks as if some women are getting antsy and are now opting for a strappier, less obvious version. I feel the angst as well, and have recently purchased a pair of Nine West Sorcerer sandals, which keep the gladiator feel alive, but offer something a bit less intense.

I own them in both green and nude and have decided to retire my black gladiators for the summer. They deserve a rest.
