A comfy pair of underwear is essential, but really? Are granny panties the new must-have? Well, according to Rihanna, Lady Gaga and HerRoom.com shoppers, they are. The pop stars wear them with no shame (alone), and Bali’s Skimp Skamp Brief won favorite panty in HerRoom’s 2010 Undie Awards. Even hipster brand American Apparel released a jersey pair with spandex that we actually laughed about when they showed up in our office.
So take your pick. You can have American Apparel’s Cotton Spandex Jersey High-Waist Brief ($18), or Bali’s award winning Skimp Skamp Brief ($9, or 3 for $24) that’s made of nylon and spandex.
The granny panty might just be the answer to no panty lines or annoying wedgies, and in that case, we get why they’re the panty to buy. We just suggest you wear them under clothes, not as pants, and make sure they aren’t visible because that’s not cool.
