Macy’s Signs First Designer Collaboration: You’ll Never Guess With Who

No, really. You’ll never guess who Macy’s doing its first collaboration with– because you’ve probably never heard of him.

Kinder Aggugini, a UK designer, will sell his Macy’s designs starting in February, with prices from $50 to $300.  His resume is filled with stints at Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano, and he was head designer at Versace. In the U.S., though, there are only two stores, ( in New York and Chicago) who currently sell his pieces.  (That will likely change.)

Aggugini, who once referred to his work as an unholy marriage between Coco Chanel & Sid Vicious, is a pretty interesting choice for Macy’s, and might actually help get customers offline and in their stores, a dilemma Macy’s has faced since the recession. Check out some of his looks from his Spring ’11 collection, below:

What do you think? Would you stand in line for Kinder Aggugini’s works for Macy’s? I know I would.
