News: Marc Jacobs Bored With Celebs, Vera Wang’s Olympic Designs, More Livestream News…
1. Alexander Wang and Rodarte are the latest designers to announce their runway shows will be livestreamed this year. You can watch their designs in real time through SHOWStudio if you can’t sneak into the tents. Wang will debut on Feb. 13 and Rodarte Feb. 16. [Vogue UK]
2. American Olympic ice skater Evan Lysacek will don costumes created by Vera Wang–some with feathers from the same coterie as Chanel. Vera Wang, who is a former ice skater (nice bit of trivia there) got out on the ice with him before designing his costumes, making adjustments accordingly. We can’t wait to tune in to see what they look like. [WWD]
3. Marc Jacobs is starting a new trend–not inviting celebs to his fashion show this year. While he once courted Victoria Beckham and Paris Hilton via front row seats, he says “I’m not into the celeb thing. That’s boring,” mentioning when Madonna showed up at his runway show backstage one year, he didn’t know what to do with her.As fashion purists, we think it’s good news. See what the stars are wearing with our guide to celebrity fashions. [Elle UK]
4. The Daily News test drives pajama jeans, which are 2010′s Snuggie. Of course they did. Instead of wearing pajamas that feel like jeans (and embarrassing yourself), treat yourself to a pair of skinny jeans from our guide, or Oprah’s go-to, CJ Cookie Johnson jeans. [NY Daily News]
