News: Proenza And Marni Finally Realize Everyone Wears Jeans (Plus, Our Favorite Spring Pairs)
March 2, 2010
This is what we call double designer denim: Proenza Schouler and Marni are finally realizing what we’ve known for ages: people live in denim, even in a recession. (C’mon, our grandparents even wear them.) So they’re hopping on the denim bandwagon with two exciting collaborations: Proenza Schouler with J.Brand and Marni with celeb fave Current Elliot. See Proenza’s graffiti-splattered pair from their Fashion Week show, below. Meanwhile, we can’t wait to see the first photos of the Marni/Current Elliot collection.
In the meantime, check out our favorite pairs to hold you over through spring:
These black J Brand ‘Legging’ Stretch Jeans in Viper Wash ($218.99) are super skinny, and the color is a great alternative to a regular wash, plus they go with everything in your closet for spring: from tops to blazers.
These Current Elliot Skinny Studded Jeans ($208) remind us why we love when the weather gets warm: more excuses to break out the white jeans. Plus, the stud details on the back pocket make the denim even more special and on-trend.
There is nothing like a pair of worn-in jeans, and these Vintage Levi’s Boyfriend Jeans ($138) feel “lived in” (in a good way) from the first time you wear them.
