Shoe Trend Alert: Get Acquainted With Peep-Toe Booties (They’re Here To Stay)

Sure, we pondered the practicality of peep-toe booties back in 2009, but it’s a new year and we’re approaching these somewhat unconventional shoes with an open mind in 2010. In part because we have seen a few pair we’d like to own, but mostly because WWD got designers to reveal sketches from their Fall ’10 collections and it looks like peep-toe booties aren’t going anywhere.

Designers like Vince Camuto and Donald J. Pliner will be offering their own versions come September, so it’s time we all get used to the idea of an open-toe boot.  Whether you wear them now with a pair of tights, or wait until that transitional weather in spring without, we’ve gathered some really amazing pairs that are sure to convert you:

I love this trend! Peep toe booties are daring, and the perfect thing to spice up an otherwise boring little black dress. I found a link for shoes that will have you sparkling at your next party, while saving you a bundle:

I love a peep toe but can’t see myself wearing something like this anytime between November and March (maybe not even until April!) It’s hard enough to keep your feet warm in closed toed shoes during the winter, why would anyone think to wear these during the winter?!
