Former Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano will launch his spring 2010 Payless line soon, which includes three Alexander McQueen-esque cloth-covered pumps we can envision Lady Gaga teetering in. Known for creating beautiful pieces (as well as coining the phrase “hot tranny mess” to describe everything), we think Sirano’s shoes articulate “hot” and “tranny,” if not “mess.”
We’re excited: right now, there’s only one lonely, tame Christian Siriano flat left at Payless–we think Siriano’s name will be more justly served once its outrageous cousins arrive to keep it company:

The pairs are exact replicas of the ones that walked down the runway at his spring 2010 show: sequins, bull-horn heels and all.
They hit stores in mid-March, about six weeks after the rest of his spring collection, and will retail for $79.99 each.
What do you think – will you try them?

“Tranny”? Highly offensive. I would expect a smart fashion blog to be sensitive to other’s identities. You need to take a Womens Studies 101 course.
I’m confused–this seems to imply gaga is a transgendered, which she isn’t. This thought doesn’t come to mind with her. I think that was a bad choice of words.
We used the term “hot tranny mess” (in so many words) because it was Siriano’s catchphrase while he was a contestant on Project Runway, and certainly didn’t mean to imply anything about anyone’s gender.
We’ve amended the language in the post to make this clearer.
Gaga isn’t transgendered (which would be the correct term, not “tranny” which is an abhorrent and outdated use of the term) she’s intersexed. I would say this post is just a plain “mess.”
To answer your question about the shoes, “Absolutely not.”
Just. So. Horrible.
I LOVE THEM! Especially the last pair, and the nude pair, and WAIT the blue pair- I need them all! :)
