Kate Middleton Prince William

Been Living Under A Rock For 6 Months? Read Our ‘Royal Wedding For Dummies’ Guide

Just in case you’ve been in a comma for 6 months and just woke up to the media frenzy known as the royal wedding, but don’t quite know where to start, this is our version of a crash course. Well, actually, the ladies over at BRIDEfinds did all the heavy-lifting, but we’ve boiled it down nicely for you. Consider it Royal Wedding for Dummies:

The Bride: Her name is Kate Middleton and she’s a total babe. That hair! Those legs! Prince William is a lucky man. Oh, and she loves fascinators (those silly feather hats).

The Dress: Where to start? Nothing has been confirmed yet, but we do know that Sophie Cranston, Alice Temperley, Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, Bruce Oldfield, and Jasper Conran‘s names have all come up as the dress designer. We know there will be at least 3 dresses worn throughout the day, and there’s also rumor of a Victoria Beckham reception dress.

The Other Dresses: Thanks to Kate, the Reiss Nannette dress and Issa London are kind of a big deal.

The Hair: Word on the street is that Kate is wearing her hair down (smart move), and is opting for a floral hair accessory, rather than a tiara.

The Shoes: According to sources who know these things, Kate is going to have 3 shoe changes on the big day – and that the pair she’s wearing down the aisle are basically flats. Comfort first, folks.

The Honeymoon: Prince William has expressed a desire to honeymoon in Australia, but we all know it comes down to what the bride wants.

The Crap: Among the memorabilia low-lights, Kate & Wills have been immortalized with: a donut, a jelly bean, Minx nails,  a creepy doll, a nail polish … basically enough to fill a whole house with.
