If you’re anything like me this season, you’ve been suffering from the internal struggle regarding leather pants: they’re flattering, warm, and definitely a whole lot more sophisticated than liquid leggings (no judgement though, I’m currently wearing a pair). The only problem, however, is that they’re ridiculously expensive (as we learned from the pair of red leather J Brands with a mysterious $500 markup).

Luckily, coated jeans (also known as “wax denim”) has been recently been popping up all over the celebrity circuit—everyone from RiRi to Nicole Richie has been photographed wearing them. And priced at hundreds of dollars less than the leather variety, we’ll definitely be snagging a pair of our own…
