Our Editors Dish On The 7 Products That Kinda Changed Our Lives In 2011

2011 has been an awesome year for new trends we’re obsessed with. We adopted maxi skirts with accordian pleats, everything Alexander Wang (but especially the jersey. Oh, the jersey!), tie neck blouses for that instant dress-up effect, every color nail polish and design under the sun, colored jeans, a healthy dose of street style outfit inspiration, and of course, Pinterest and Instagram, for following it all. But each of us has our own favorite product that actually changed our (fashion) lives.

Cambridge Neon Satchel

“Great as a clutch or day to night shoulder bag, this turned out to be my underdog/unexpected statement piece for 2011 without an outstanding price tag ($155). Believe it or not, neon, regardless of the color, goes with absolutely everything, plus it’s been an excellent ice breaker at industry events.” - Julie, Marketing Director

Michael Kors Gold Oversize Runway watch

“My gold Michael Kors watch ($250)—it’s the perfect jewelry staple that goes with everything. When I’m without it, I just feel lost and late.” - Charlotte Steinway, Editorial Assistant

Missoni for Target

“This collaboration rocked my world this year.  Also, my daughter’s first taste of designer!” – Jeanine Edwards, MOMfinds Senior Editor

Tempur-Pedic pillow

“THIS PILLOW IS MY JAM ($99)! It’s what I imagine it would be like to cuddle up to a unicorn, or some other amazing, soft fantasy creature. ”  - Hilary Sloan, Sales & Project Manager

J.Crew Collection Montmartre coat

“I haven’t bought a new winter coat in about 7 years (shocking!) so I splurged this year and bought this leather and fur version by J.Crew Collection ($695).  I wear it every day and get tons of compliments.” – Michelle Madhok, CEO & Founder

Versace for H&M studded leather jacket

I found out that it was a bestseller in London, so I bought it at the New York launch. It’s totally rockstar! Proof? Fergie wore it a few weeks later on the red carpet.” – Justine Ingersoll, BRIDEfinds Associate Editor

Tory Burch Patent Robinson envelope clutch

“This gorgeous clutch ($227 from $325) forces me to leave all of my excess crap at home: keys, wallet, ID – I’m out the door!” - Eileen Conlan, SHEfinds Senior Editor
