In honor of their Met exhibit Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations , Prada is giving their devoted customers a blast from the past: the Italian brand has reissued 9 “it” bags from their archives. Spanning from 1991, 2000, 2003 and 2005 (when “it” bags had even more clout and relevence), the bags are sure to attract collectors and bag hags alike. Sadly, the line is only available in their Manhattan stores and prices range from $995 to $2950.
We love ourselves a good Archives collection! Let’s take a walk down memory lane… Shoppers flocked to Jimmy Choo‘s Icon collection last year, which boasted a re-make of Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic Sex and the City shoe (from the “I Lost A Choo!” episode). Diane von Furstenberg lent some of her iconic 70s prints to a new range of dresses, flats and even iPad cases. Marc Jacobs graced us with a Greatest Hits collection to celebrate Marc by Marc Jacob’s 10th anniversary. Earlier this month, Valentino marked 50 years (!) in the industry with a 50th anniversary collection. Bobbi Brown celebrated 20 years of makeup making with a limited edition lip palette, with 10 of her original lip colors from 1991.
