Save The Planet Every Time You Wash Your Face With Kiehl's Limited Edition Scrub
April 16, 2012
Want to help the environment during your morning beauty routine? To celebrate Earth Day, skincare line Kiehl’s offers a Limited Edition Label Art series by celebrity philanthropists, including Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine and Rosario Dawson. The two socially-conscious women designed the labels of Kiehl’s signature Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque and 100% of the product’s net proceeds benefit Recycle Across America, a non-profit organization that specializes in simplifying the habit and act of recycling.
In keeping up with Florence’s ethereal persona, the songstress envisioned Earth in the shape of a heart surrounded by multicolored flowers and stars. Rosario created an abstract image of Mother Nature and Mother Earth, which can be seen in the label’s landscape image of a mountain and waterfall shaped like a woman’s profile.
The Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque is made of Amazonian White Clay, a detoxifying ingredient found within Brazil’s Amazon River, which rids your skin of dirt and oil, as well as magically minimizing enlarged pores. Plus, the product’s packaging is completely recyclable, so once you’ve revived your skin’s radiance, you can return the empty item to Kiehl’s (along with any other empty items from the beauty line) and be rewarded with complimentary products. It doesn’t get better than that.
