Are you wearing one of the world’s most-searched handbags on your arm? Digital Luxury Group, who research this sort of thing, just tallied up the 10 most sought-after bags, according to an impressive sampling of more than 130 million internet searches. While some of the group’s findings are to be expected (yep, Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vuitton made the Top 5), there were some interesting discoveries made.
Like, did you know that the U.K. is the most handbag-obsessed country? Or that of all Birkin colors, Americans search for orange the most. And that Louis Vuitton is already old news for Japanese women; it was the only country in which the brand didn’t rank in the top 5. And notably left off the list? Tory Burch, Proenza Schouler (who make the highly-coveted PS1 bag), Burberry, Kate Spade, Bottega Veneta, Celine and other “It” bag makers. And most surprising of all is which brand earned the top spot — beating out Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and others…
