When It Comes To Fall Shoes, You Better Put A Cap On It
July 18, 2012
We took note of the cap toe pump as an essential footwear choice for spring and now the trendy metal detail is carrying over for fall. While the two-tone, cap toe look reminds us of a pair of classic Chanel flats, designers have taken this signature style and transformed it in their own way. Versace played with the shape of the actual cap, taking notes from traditional Western boots. Missoni, Donna Karan, and Balenciaga switched up materials, creating the cap toe in suede, patent leather, or a unique striped pattern. But the metallic version will always be our tried and true favorite, and Giorgio Armani nailed it by placing a mini-sized cap toe on vampy heels.
