The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

From time to time, I spray the clothes in my closet with linen spray. I never really thought about the toxins that might be in these products that I’m spraying directly onto my clothing. Let’s talk about Febreze, which is one of the most popular odor eliminating sprays on the market. Tons of people use Febreze throughout their house and on their clothes, but the truth is, you shouldn’t be using it at all. Why? The Environmental Working Group (EWG) conducted a test on Febreze Air Effects and found 87 chemicals in total, which you then inhale and essentially wear.

A lot of people who use this product complain of asthmatic problems. Most of the chemicals found in Febreze, like propylene glycol, can be harmful for those with allergies and is toxic to the immune system. Of the 87 chemicals the EWG found in Febreze Air Effects, Proctor & Gamble only disclosed three of them. Instead of using chemical-filled odor eliminators, try using a more natural way to freshen up your clothing.

One of the best ways to give your clothes a natural and clean smell is to hang them outside in the sun. If you don’t have a yard, or the time to wait for them to dry, you can easily make your own linen spray. Mix together some water, alcohol and essential oil in a spray bottle and you’re good to go!
