Why: As much as I heart designer bags, there is a lot to be said for bags that have never seen the cover of US Weekly or graced the arm of an intoxicated starlet. In these times of several thousand-dollar handbags, these Sheila D reversible corduroy bags are a refreshing change. Sheila D’s designs are fresh, quirky and completely reversible. It was tough to choose, but my favorite is this khaki/green flowers school tote, which has two flat pockets perfect for keeping your very scholarly papers in order. Or you’re magazines. Luckily you don’t have to show a school ID to get your hands on this bag.
