A Find: Slouch Boots
November 23, 2005
Apparently, Sienna Miller knows something I don’t. In addition to exactly why she’s famous, she knows how to straddle the sartorial line between fashionably unkempt and bummy. Her outfits are put together without really looking put together, but somehow millions of us still emulate her fashion sense. Now she has footwear named after her – the Rafe Sienna boot. These high-shaft boots have contrast stitching, brass hardware and 2″ platform wedge heels. All this is yours for the low, low price of $355. Sure, they’re scrunchable. Sure, they look comfy with that mid-height heel. Sure, they capture the still-trendy look Sienna Miller helped popularize. But, no thanks. I’ll look elsewhere. My first stop was Zappos, where I found Rebels Salty Sweater Slouch Boots. The sweater fabric can be rolled, scrunched or left up for three distinct looks. It’s close to the Sienna boot and for about one-quarter of the price (85.00). Nice. Find them at Zappos.com.
