A Solution for Raggedy Pants Syndrome

You know your favorite pair of jeans, the ones that fit like a glove and go with everything… the ones you paid a fortune for? I had a pair of those, a gorgeous pair of dark wash Sevens with the famous back pocket numeral logos tastefully set in jet black rhinestones, (yeah… $200). So, I wore them to work, I wore them to the bar, I wore them to the movies, and before I knew it, I wore them out. Slowly I watched the bottoms of my jeans deteriorate from small scuffs, to huge rips, and most unattractively, the unfortunate discoloration of brown dirt stains. I would try to roll them up, but sooner or later, the cuffs would fall down and denim fabric would find itself caught underneath the soles of my shoes.

Although it is too late for my favorite Sevens, (now referred to as my “crappy” jeans), there is still hope for the rest of you thanks to the innovative Zakkerz. These little black strips have extremely strong magnets, one for the inside and the other for the outside of your pants, and will hold your cuffs in place and off the ground while you’re on the go. They might not be the most fashionable things in the world, but they will keep your expensive slacks and jeans from an early trip to the trash and will save you from having to buy new pairs more often. A set of four, two for each leg, goes for $24.

  5. Lissa says:

do they go on the outside or the inside of the pants?

  6. message from the inventor of zakkerz says:

    hi lissa,
to answer your question, zakkerz are placed on the outside of your pant leg after you’ve rolled them up to a shorter length. we are just getting started and currently only sell them in black, but we plan to expand our color offerings soon so that our customers can wear them to blend in any color pants! thanks for you interest.

what a practical solution to a common problem for city girls!

  8. MJ says:

Or you can go to the tailor/ alter the length. This is a cool thing for convenience

  9. Tommy says:

These are cool, but check out http://www.soleclips.com. They solve the same problem, but you can’t see them because they are hidden under the hem or in the cuff.

  10. Allie says:

These seem great but I wonder how many women who have purchased these have tossed them into their handbag only to find out later their credit cards aren’t working anymore because they have been demagnetized.

  11. Karmyn says:

Zakkerz is a great idea. Sole Clips seems to work on long jeans. Looks sloppy… clips onto the back of shoes/sneakers (would it work well for flats or heels attached to your shoe as you walk). Besides, it’s not versatile enough. Doesn’t look like they’ll work well with trousers and slacks. As for demagnetizing the credit cards, I’m sure people are smart enough to keep that in mind.

Zakkerz are by far a neater and more sensible method of saving pants from dragging all over. You gotta’ try them.

    maybe try pantsfix - http://www.pantsfix.com

  14. Daniela says:

Humm…on that video those girls have no problem with them jeans at all…
Sole clips dosen’t work at all with other shoes than big sneakers as Nike

The other solution Pants’fix is much better
