We’re Fairly Certain Floral Appliques Are The Prettiest Thing We’ve Seen All Summer

We love all things floral, but by the time July comes around a floral pattern seems expected, almost boring. Thankfully, lots of designers are using floral appliques this season. These lifelike flowers are a fun, playful take on the pattern and stand out more than your typical floral print. Can't justify buying another floral print dress or skirt this summer? Lucky for you, we rounded up the best summer dresses and tops with floral appliques. You can wear them everywhere--think summer weddings, garden parties, outdoor happy hours or even when you're feeling particularly festive at the office. Shop favorites from Tory Burch, Isaac Mizrahi, ASOS and Forever 21 in the slideshow. Want more floral? Check out our posts on floral shoes, flower crowns, and floral denim shorts. If you're short, pair them with high wedge sandals. Tall? Wear one with pretty flats. Swimsuits With Sleeves? Yes, They’re Happening This Summer. See For Yourself

Some girls love rocking itsy bitsy teeny weeny bikinis, but most of us prefer a a little more coverage. For some, that may mean a tankini or a one-piece; for others, that could mean a swimsuit with full-on sleeves. And believe it or not, designers like Marc Jacobs, J. Crew and  Cynthia Rowley are making surprisingly cute full coverage swim options this season. From pretty printed rashguards to westuit-like one-pieces, these suits are designed to cover. So whether you're crazy about sun protection or just modest, you hit the jackpot this season. Shop our favorite high coverage swimsuits in the slideshow. Between Isabel Marant's Carol Sandals and Valentino's Rockstud heels, studded sandals should absolutely be at the top of your shopping list this summer. They're trendy now, but the truth is a few badass studs and spikes will really never go out of style. Even better, you don't have to spend a fortune on them if you're strapped for cash. Summer’s Best Blazers And Jackets All Have One Thing In Common: Lace

If you've been paying any attention, you know we love layering (and you should, too!). On hot summer days, however, the last thing we want is another layer of fabric to sweat through. That's why lace jackets are perfect for even the warmest of days--they're light, cute, and add another dimension to your outfit without adding too much weight. Sound exactly like what you've been looking for? Click through the slideshow for pretty options from the likes of Alice and Olivia, Kensie, and ASOS. Check out other cute outfit options to beat the heat in: midi skirts, dressy tank tops, and of course, bathing suits! [Photo: Ring My Bell]

How To Wear Jogger Shorts (Yes, You Can Do It. No, You Don’t Have To Be Gisele.)

We've been seeing sporty jogger shorts everywhere this season. With an adjustable drawstring waistband and a fairly forgiving fit, they're a fun departure from regular shorts and despite what you're probably thinking, they can actually be flattering--if your wear them right. Which of course begs the question: how the heck do you wear them without looking like you're about to embark on a run? We've got a few styling tips that will guarantee passersby know you're headed to the latest hot spot, not the gym. It's easy: 1. Pair joggers with wedges or heels. Elongate your legs, and eliminate any confusion about whether you're about to exercise. 2. If you must wear flats, opt for strappy gladiators. They'll accentuate your gams and play nicely off the sporty trend. 3. Wear a structured, tucked in top. We're big fans of slouchy off the shoulder tees and sweatshirts, but with these shorts, opt for something a little dressier. Otherwise, your outfit may look sloppy. 4. Fit is key. If they're too small, joggers bunch unattractively around your thighs. If they're too big, they resemble pajama bottoms. If you're in between sizes, we recommend going up a size and having your shorts tailored if need be. 5. Go for a wild fabric or crazy pattern. While basic gym joggers are often a solid color, this season's fashion joggers come in a variety of tribal, floral, and other trendy prints, as well as fun faux leather and metallic fabrics. Check out other bottoms we love for summer: light denim, tulip skirts, and slitted skirts! [Photo: Lee Oliveira]

The Most Surprising Sunglasses Trend Of Summer? That Would Be Wood Frames

We're big fans of tortoiseshell sunglasses. They're perfectly neutral and timeless and they look good on every skin tone. But this summer, designers like Saint Laurent and Ray Ban are trying out a new neutral: wood. Yes, you read that right. Wood rim sunglasses are everywhere this season and we're smitten because they can look simultaneously classic and completely unexpected--whether it's for the beach or the streets. Check out the slideshow to shop our favorite wood frame lenses--and let us know, would you try the trend? Shop more sunglasses we love: aviators, wayfarers, and cat-eye sunglasses. [Photo: Palo]

If You’re Gonna Wear Jeans This Summer, You Better Invest In Some Light Denim

Can't give up your jeans just because it's hot out? We get it--there's no easier go-to pant option. If you want to avoid sweaty, sticky jeans this summer, our advice is to invest in a good pair of light colored denim. In a pale, almost chambray-esque blue, light denim looks and feels more breathable and airy on your skin. We've rounded up our favorite pairs of jeans (and a few skirts and denim jackets, too) from all our denim favorites, including Mother, Rag & Bone, 7 For All Mankind, Textile Elizabeth & James, J Brand, Citizens of Humanity and more. Check 'em all out in the slideshow and thank us when temps hit the 90s. Shop our other favorite summer essentials while you're at it: lightweight blazers, mirrored sunglasses, and coverups! Stuck To Your Winter Workout Routine? Put Your Pins On Full Display In A Tulip Skirt

We've seen a lot of skirt silhouettes pegged as the must-have this season, but if you've been keeping up with your leg workouts there's absolutely one you shouldn't be without: the tulip skirt. Thanks to its asymmetrical hem, the tulip skirt flashes a little leg while still maintaining lady-like modesty. Don't believe us? See for yourself! We've rounded up tulip skirts in our favorite colors and prints from designers we love including Amanda Uprichard, Yumi Kim, James Perse, as well as lower-end options from Mango, Nasty Gal and Urban Outfitters. We promise you'll be hooked. Check out other trends we love for summer, including trendy turbans, comfy-cute espadrilles, and pastel everything! [Photo: Frankie Hearts Fashion]

You Can Never Have Too Many Swimsuits, Especially When They’re This Cheap

We love treating ourselves to new bathing suits every summer, but for the flimsy pieces of fabric that they are, swimsuits sure can get pricey. Not to mention, after a season spent at the pool or the beach, they often become washed out, sun and water damaged, or otherwise worn. Our solution this summer? Fill your closet with bikinis and one-pieces that are so cheap, they're almost disposable. We've rounded up our favorite on-trend options from fast fashion favorites including Forever 21, ASOS, and Target. With bold prints, unexpected details, and cool silhouettes, we plan on being stylish and guilt-free all summer long. Click through the slideshow and go crazy. Check out more swimwear we love, from one pieces, to Spanx swimwear, to the best swim coverups.

When The Weather Is Humid And Gross, Tame Your Hair With A Trendy Turban

Haven't quite figured out how to handle your hair on these hot and humid days where the only  thing it seems to know how to do is frizz or stick incessantly to your face? We've got you covered--why not try this summer's turban trend? Yes, it's probably way out of your comfort zone, but just think of it as an updated headband. This season's turbans come in a variety of colors and patterns, but also different shapes so you can wear one over the forehead with your hair down or with your hair in a topknot and looped around your hairline. Feeling adventurous? We rounded up our fave turbans at every price point, including a $14 ASOS option to $125 handmade one from Cult Gaia. Shop the best in the slideshow. Summer Is Just 16 Days Away–Here’s What To Wear To Work On Scorching Hot Days

In the hot days of summer, it's hard to find an outfit that won't cause you to overheat on your commute, but that's also workplace-appropriate. Not to mention, it's hot outside but icy thanks to the blasting AC inside. Makes getting dressed every morning kinda tricky, right? Here's a tip: our go-tos during the hot summer months are loose cotton or silk dresses and  sleeveless button-down tops in light colors. When you're outside, they're light enough to keep you from sweating to death, but in the office you can easily throw a pretty cardi or blazer on top. Because summer is literally just days away, we rounded up some of our favorite work-ready dresses and blouses so you can stock up now.  With cute options from Rag & Bone, Diane Von Furstenberg, Milly, Joie, Equipment and more, these picks not only work for your commute and the office, but they'll keep going for happy hour afterwards, too. Alternatively, these sunnies are also perfect for adding some edge to your girliest sundress and sandals. With options from Prada and Tom Ford to Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe on the market, you're free to purchase a investment pair or a cheapie choice. Swap Your Plain Ol’ Blue Denim Jacket Out For A Printed One This Summer

Let's face it: denim jackets are here to stay. The beloved topper is a great casual alternative to blazers on warm summer days and once you find a good one you can wear it year after year. Now of course, standard blue denim jackets are cute, but this summer we're loving variations on the classic that feature cool prints. A printed denim jacket looks just as good over a casual maxi dress as it does with structured pants and a button-down, so we say you invest in a good one for work and play. Check out our favorite printed denim jackets by Marc by Marc Jacobs, Current/Elliot and Kate Spade, as well as lower-priced options from ASOS, Topshop and Forever 21 in the slideshow. The prospect of wearing shorts and skirts in this warm weather has us all in an excellent mood. And then we remembered that we've been hiding our legs under tights and our underarms in layers of sweaters for months now. Talk about a rude awakening. While tanning and exercise certainly help, no woman is ready for summer without an arsenal of trusted hair removal products because the last thing you want to be worried about this summer is stubble or unsightly hair follicles. So to help you out, we rounded up some of the best new hair removal products on the market right now. Heat Things Up This Summer In A Super Sexy Pair Of Leather Bondage Boots

Summer and boots aren't two words you usually hear together, but this trend is for real. A-listers from Rihanna and Lana Del Ray to Selena Gomez and Anne Hathaway are rocking seriously intense bondage-inspired boots this season and we're taking notice. Now let's be clear--the use of boot is loose here. These shoes are more like a boot-sandal hybrid. They're tall like winter boots, but the cutouts makes them more like sandals. Confusing? Maybe. Cute? We think so! And so do designers like Proenza Schouler, Jimmy Choo and Alexander Wang because they're the ones making them. Ready to jump into this trend with both feet? Shop some cool bondage boots in the slideshow. Want more shoes? Check out our every-weather shoe guide, the best summer sandals, and ankle-strap sandals! [Photo: Splash News]

We’ve Finally Come Around–Circle Sunglasses Are Our Fave For Summer

Sure summer is upon us, but the truth is sunglasses should be a year-round essential. Your eyes always need protection from the UVA and UVB rays, right? So we're huge advocates of having a stash of cute sunnies in different shapes and colors to pull from depending on your mood. Our fave style for summer? Circular sunglasses are all the rage this season and we love that this shape doesn't cover up your entire face. Whether basic black, tortoiseshell, clear or pastel, circle sunglasses look great on just about any face shape and loads of designers are making cute options to choose from. Pull An Angelina & Flash Some Leg This Summer In A Sexy Double Slit Maxi Skirt

We'll always love a good maxi skirt, but for this season we're taking a page from Angelina Jolie's sexpot playbook and choosing maxis that show off our legs. Double slit maxi skirts are obviously quite alluring, but they'll also help you maintain optimal coverage. Whether you choose a basic black skirt, or a fun,  printed option, paired your double slit maxi with a tee shirt for daytime or with a silky tank and a structured blazer for the evening. There’s No Spring Outfit A Crisp White Tuxedo Blazer Can’t Pull Together

Tuxedo separates are the ultimate structured must-have this season. We already showed you the best tuxedo pants, so it's only right we point you in the direction of some seriously sharp white tuxedo blazers as well. Now in case you don't know what you're getting yourself into, we're talking tailored white blazers with contrasting black lapels. Sure, it sounds hard to pull off in theory, but these jackets actually work with just about any outfit and make everything look instantly more polished. Good Luck Not Buying A Bunch Of These Flashy Metallic Blazers For Spring

Sure pastels and neons are huge this season, but there's just something about tried and true metallics that always catch our eye. We often reach for jewelry to give simple looks a little oomph, but lately we've been all about dressing up with a statement metallic blazer. Shiny, sparkly jackets in gold, silver, and bronze eliminate the need for any additional jewelry and make a splash all on their own. With some of our favorite designers--including Sandro, Vince, Alice & Olivia and Rag & Bone--getting in the metallic blazer game, our biggest problem is sticking to just one. Shop our fave metallic blazers in the slideshow. Check out other spring trends we're loving: neon handbags, spike jewelry, and watercolor print! [Photo: Peace Love Shea]

Consider These PVC Strap Sandals A Baby Step Into The Clear Shoe Trend

Love the translucent shoe trend, but not ready to bare it all (not to mention, bear the sweat) in PVC pumps? We get it--clear shoes are risky business. Luckily, we found an easy way to try the PVC trend without committing your poor feet to Barbie shoes all night: PVC strap sandals! Designers like Manolo Blahnik, Tibi and even Forever 21 are making clear shoes more accessible (and comfortable) with flat and heeled sandals with on-trend PVC straps. These Carven leather & PVC gladiator sandals, for example, are ideal for brunch and a long stroll. For a big night out, try these Alexander Wang Agata T-Strap Sandals. Ready to dip your toe into the PVC fad? Shop our fave PVS strap sandals in the slideshow. Don’t Fight It–Embrace The Leather Craze With A Pastel Investment Piece This Spring

As excited as we are for warm weather, we're kinda going to miss moto boots, layers, and most of all, our leather jackets. Luckily, this spring, we don't need to pack away our leather for good--we just need to lighten it up! Designers including Alice & Olivia, Theory, IRO, Club Monaco and J.Brand are all making sure the leather craze keeps rolling on with jackets, vests, skirts and shorts in spring-appropriate, sherbet shades. We're talking sky blue moto jackets, peachy skater skirts and  minty short shorts. Sounds pretty, right? Wait until you see them on! These pastel leather pieces will look great with spring staples like white jeans, loose tanks and even denim cutoffs. Shop our favorite pastel leather (and faux leather!) picks in the slideshow. Your Spring Jewelry Collection Isn’t Complete Without Statement-Making Spikes

We were already warming up to the punk trend and thanks to last week's MET Gala, we're officially diehard fans. Now every punk princess knows, the look isn't complete without spikes and luckily designers like Alex & Ani and Adia Kibur are offering up a whole host of spiked jewelry that's sure to suit any style. Whether you want to go full out punk in black leather with gold spikes or you want to keep it playful with neon and spikes, the options are endless (and affordable!). Browse the slideshow for our favorite picks, including spiked cuffs, rings, bangles and statement necklaces. Who Says Fashion Isn’t Art? Spring’s Watercolor Trend Is A Solid Investment

We love floral print, but we've been in the market for a more sophisticated, unexpected alternative for some time now. This spring's popular watercolor pattern takes the bright, playful nature of florals up a notch with abstractly juxtaposed splashes of color. Designers from Milly and Alice & Olivia to BB Dakota and French Connection, and even Forever 21 are hopping on the watercolor bandwagon with everything from dresses to separates and accessories decked out in the fun print. We can't wait to pair a watercolor top with white jeans, dress up watercolor shorts with a crisp button-down and wedges, and add watercolor accessories to our go-to spring looks! Check out our favorite watercolor clothes and accessories in the slideshow. Shop other prints we love right now: floral jackets, ikat pajama pants, and tie-dye everything! [Photo: Lee Oliveira]

Feeling Like The String Bikini’s Lost Its Sex Appeal? Try A Bustier Bathing Suit Instead

We know it's scary, but it's time to start thinking swimsuits. You could rely on that trusty ol' string bikini you've always worn, but this summer there's something even sexier: bustier bathing suits. Because the bra cups are reminiscent lingerie, these bustier bikinis are bound to set tongues a wagging. And there's just something so alluring about classic pin-up girl style. Plus, these swimsuits will look great with a high-waist skirt or shorts at the local beach bar. Ready to dive in? Shop our faves from Splendid, Zinke and more in the slideshow. Check out the best styles to pair them with: shorts under $50, cuff bracelets, and classic sunglasses! [Photo: Wildfox]

It’s Time To Ditch Your Bulky Leather Bag For A Lightweight Spring Tote

As the weather warms up, we're on the hunt for clothes and accessories that will simultaneously look cute and help us stay cool. We've already started switching out our leather and cashmere for lace and chiffon, but let's not forget the handbag. When the warm weather hits, the one thing you need is a bag that won't boil its contents when out in the hot sun for hours. Everyone knows leather heats up quickly, so your best bet is something canvas, cotton, or straw. Ready to hang up your go-to leather tote in favor of something lighter? We rounded up lightweight hobos, bucket bags, clutches and more in cool patterns and fun silhouettes from designers including Tory Burch, See By Chloe, Foley & Corinna, Rebecca Minkoff, Juicy Couture in the slideshow below. Don’t Let A Little Rain Fool You–Summer Is Coming So Shop These Shorts Under $50

Yeah, we know it's pouring here in N.Y.C. today, but don't be fooled--summer starts next month, so you'll need a good stockpile of shorts to get you through the dog days. And lucky for you, we spent the last week searching high and low for the best shorts for every body type under $50. Whether you're long-legged, middle heavy or petite, we found a pair that will leave your legs looking fantastic this summer. Need some help finding the perfect pair for you? Here's a quick guide: If you have full thighs, try a looser silk or polyester short. Tighter styles will only draw more attention. If you are petite, a shorter short--whether cotton or leather--is your friend. If you are bottom heavy, avoid wild prints and patterns and instead stick with with solids. If you have long legs, congrats. You're just about the only women who can pull off short denim shorts. If you have an apple shape, choose a drawstring, high-waisted pair will accentuate and flatter your midline. Ready to stock up? Shop out fave shorts under $50 in the slideshow. Pair your new shorts with some of our favorite spring trends: holographic shoes, tie dye print, and toe ring sandals! [Photo: Peace Love Shea]

Spring’s Toile Resurgence Will Have Your Closet Looking Just Like Grandma’s China

Believe it or not, one of this spring's hottest patterns looks like it came right out of your grandma's china closet--toile! Fortunately, there's nothing ancient about the way designers like Zara, Duro Olowu and Paul & Joe are working it. Sure, the blue and white color combo may resemble Nana's old plates and cups, but when scattered across fitted dresses, peplum tops and structured blazers, the pattern looks surprisingly new and stylish. We recommend pairing it with your most daring, of-the-moment accessories--think chrome heels or a bright crossbody bag. Shop our favorite toile print  in the slideshow. Plus, check out other unexpected prints we love: tie-dye, pineapple print and galaxy print! [Photo: Paul & Joe]

These 25 Sunglasses Will Never Go Out Of Style

Really good at keeping track of your sunglasses? Atta, girl. If you (unlike us) manage to hold on to your sunnies despite all the beach trips, BBQs and pool parties, we say go ahead and treat yourself to an investment pair in a timeless style that you'll be able to wear summer after summer. We're talking classic round, cat eye or wayfarer shapes in standard black or tortoiseshell--they'll match every outfit for years to come. We've rounded up our favorite picks from Oliver Peoples, Marc By Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, and Gucci (as well as more affordable options from Mango, Forever 21, and Cheap Monday) in the slideshow, so score a pair (or two!) now. Don't see anything you like? Check out our guide to the best sunglasses, in wayfarer and cat eye shapes! [Photo: Lee Oliveira]

Haven’t Worn Tie Dye Since You Were Ten? It’s Time To Give It Another Try

Ever since the good ol' days of camp and Color War, we only had one rule for tie dye: go big or go home. And that same sentiment holds true years later now that tie dye is back and better than eve--for adults! Designers like Michael Kors, Catherine Malandrino, Vince Camuto and BCBG have all hopped on the tie dye trend this spring and they've totally convinced us to give the look another shot. To keep the pattern from looking juvenile, however, opt for bold colors on classic silhouettes. Think bright tie dye skinny jeans or a supersaturated tie dye moto vest.  Click through the slideshow for our tie dye recommendations. Check out other spring trends we're loving: patchwork jeans, lace dresses, and varsity jackets! [Photo: Peace Love Shea]

Fake A Perfect Figure With Spring’s Patchwork And Colorblock Jeans

We can't get enough of fun, printed denim this spring, but if you're wondering "what's the next big jeans thing?" we've got your answer--patchwork and colorblock jeans. Designers like J Brand, Rag & Bone and Current/Elliott are all making them and unlike some of the crazy printed denim, spring's patchwork and colorblock jeans can actually flatter your figure. For example, if you want to add curves to your slim frame, try these Rag & Bone Halifox jeans. The easiest way to elongate your legs? These Express Tuxedo pants. Hate your huge calves? The Rag & Bone Jodhpur creates the illusion of super-thin, super-long stems. Whatever your goal, we're positive there's a pair of patchwork jeans for you. Shop our favorites in the slideshow Check out other spring denim trends we love: pastel, white, and boyfriend. [Photo: Lee Oliveira]

When Your Skinny Jeans Just Plain Suck, Reach For These Cute, Comfortable Clothes

There are days when we feel totally up to squeezing into our very skinniest skinny jeans and our highest heels. There are, however, other days (think: hangovers, rainy days and ate-too-much-last-night days) when we simply can't be bothered. No need to feel ashamed. We all have those mornings where everything is tight and uncomfortable and just not right. How do you deal? The key is being prepared. Rather than forcing yourself into tight pants that make it hard to breathe, keep your closet stocked with stylish clothes that are also secretly comfortable. We're talking maxi dresses, cool tees, graphic sweatshirts--basically anything that's loose and stretchy. Doesn't sound like anything if your closet? It's time to shop girl! Shop our favorite comfy, yet cute brands like Splendid, Joie Soft,T By Alexander Wang and more in the slideshow. And on behalf of your alarm clock, food baby, or fourth frozen margarita--you're welcome. Loving these easy separates? Check out our guides to drawstring pants, cozy sweatshirts, and pajama pants! Who Needs A Seaside View When You’ve Got Spring’s Beach Scene Clothing Trend?

While it's not exactly beach weather yet (come on, summer), we don't think we can wait another few months to relax with sun, sand, and palm trees. Our solution? Fake it! While we wait for it to warm up a bit, we're planning on pretending we're oceanside with fun, beach scene clothing and accessories. It Doesn’t Get Much Easier Than A T-Shirt Dress This Spring #NothingToWear

Some days, we spend hours picking out the perfect top and bottom, then carefully selecting matching accessories and arranging our hair and makeup just so. Other days, we can't be bothered to do much more than throw our locks up into a bun and toss on a single article of clothing. For those (considerably more frequent) days, we love nothing more than a t-shirt dress. As comfortable as a pair of sweatpants, but still somewhat put together, t-shirt dresses are perfect for when you need to look cute, but don't have the energy to sort through everything in your closet. Just add a scarf or belt and some cute strappy sandals and voila!--insta-outfit! Shop our favorite t-shirt dresses from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Theory, Velvet, T By Alexander Wang and more in the slideshow. Put Some Spring In Your Step With A Pretty Pair Of Floral Print Shoes

From short sets and pant suits to handbags and denim, this is the season of the print and none is more popular than a good ol' floral. The only thing not covered in pretty flower patterns? Shoes--until now, that is. Thanks to designers like Rag & Bone, Loeffler Randall and Manolo Blahnik, you can now put some spring in your step--literally--in a pair of floral print shoes. Whether you opt for a pair of floral print Doc Martens or ladylike, bouquet-inspired pumps, flowery kicks are an easy way to add interesting detail to any otherwise dull outfit. Try slipping on a pair with your black pencil skirt for work or with jeans and a tee. Shop our favorite floral print shoes in the slideshow. Your Denim Cutoffs Called–They Want Some Seriously Killer Studs This Summer

A good pair of denim shorts is an absolute essential for summer, but your old denim cutoffs aren't going to cut it this season. Everyone from Elizabeth & James and Michael Kors to Forever 21 and ASOS is making studded and embellished jeans shorts for spring and summer, which means a blinged out pair must be on your summer shopping list. How to wear the rock star staple? Try tucking in a white tee shirt and adding a pair of white Keds for daytime errands and brunch, or throw on wedges, a bright blazer, and a statement necklace for nighttime. Your Tried And True Jean Skirt Got A Major Makeover This Spring

Think you don't need a new denim skirt this spring? Think again! Before you reach for the sandwashed jean mini you wore in high school, just don't. Designers like Marc Jacobs and Topshop have updated the summer staple this season with cool distressing, embellishments and more. And if you're wondering, do I really need another denim skirt, the answer is a resounding, "Hell yes!" What else can you wear with any top, any shoes, or any handbag and still look cute and pulled together? See--you definitely need a few more. Toes Not Sandal-Ready? Make Perforated Flats Your Go-To Spring Shoe

Been a while since your last pedicure? We can't blame you--our own toes have been hiding snugly in socks and boots for the last seven months, too. But fret not because while you get ready for sandal season, we've got the perfect transitional shoe for you. Perforated flats not only let your feet breathe on warm days, but they also cleverly hide your less-than-red-carpet-ready toes. This spring, brands like Manolo Blahnik, Matt Bernson and Sigerson Morrison are all making perforated flats in seasonally-appropriate bright colors with fun details such as suede piping, studded toes and patterned accents. We can't wait to wear this fun shoe well into summer with denim cutoffs, colored skinny jeans and flirty spring dresses. Shop our favorite perforated flats in the slideshow. Plus, check out other shoe trends we're obsessing over: lace up sandals, open-toe booties, and jellies (yes, really).

Horizontal Stripes Are The Easiest Way To Rock Spring’s Black And White Trend

Spring dressing usually calls for a plethora of bold colors and saturated prints, but as much as we love our neons, florals, and pastels, one of our favorite spring trends is classic black and white stripes. The easiest way to make this look work without resembling an inmate? Look for tailored, body-conscious pieces, and break up the outfit with statement accessories--from a chic waist-belt to a bold necklace--in bold, contrasting colors. Now when it comes to your black and white stripe selection, the options are limitless. We love horizontal black and white stripes on everything from dresses and skirts to shorts and pants. And luckily, just about all of our favorite designers, including Tibi, Alice & Olivia, J.Crew, and Gap, are embracing stripes. Click through the slideshow to get a peek at our fave black and white striped finds. Check out other trends we're loving this spring: white blazers, chambray dresses, and ombre maxis! Give Your Chambray Shirt A Break And Trade It In For A Denim Dress This Spring

If you're anything like us, your chambray button-down (all ten shades and variations of it--consider us addicted) is your favorite go-to piece in your closet. And for good reason. The top looks just as great paired with jeans as it does tucked into a skirt or shorts, and works as well under a blazer for work as it does over your bathing suit for the beach. This spring, it's time to give the ole' favorite a rest and try an adorable chambray or denim dress instead. With fun silhouettes (from a-line, to shift, to tucked at the waist), and cute details (polka dots, studs, and cutouts), these are much less expected than a standard button-down and so easy to accesorize based on occasion. With designers from See By Chloe, Joie, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Alice & Olivia and Paige to Gap, Old Navy and Forever 21 taking on their own versions of this trend, we anticipate growing a collection almost as numerous as our button-down one! Browse the slideshow to take a look at our favorite chambray dresses, or monitor our obsession with the trend with the best chambray tops, embellished chambray, and a studded chambray DIY. Before You Bare Your Whole Foot, Test The Water In A Pair Of Open Toe Booties

With so many good sandal trends this season, we can't wait to show off our spring pedicures in a pair. But seeing as how it's not quite warm enough most places to bust out the sandals just yet, we found a compromise: open toe booties. Ideal for transitional weather, open toe booties not only let your toes see some sunlight, but they also offer coverage for cooler days. Spring's best designs from Rag & Bone, Loeffler Randall, and Elizabeth & James feature fun details such as strategic cutouts, mesh insets, and bright colorblocking. Even affordable designers like Vince Camuto and Jeffrey Campbell are rolling out cute open toe booties, so you're sure to have a good bunch to choose from. Shop our favorites in the slideshow. Overalls Aren’t All That Easy To Wear, But These Pinafore Dresses Definitely Are

Believe it or not, overalls are back in a big way this spring. We'll be the first to admit they look good on supermodels and tall, skinny street style girls, but the rest of us? Not so easy. Enter the pinafore dress. This bib-like dress mimics the look of overalls up top, but is actually a skirt down below. When paired with a pretty tee or a sparkly tank, a pinafore dress is perfectly workplace--or date--appropriate and they work well with tons of shoe options like strappy sandals and even wedge sneakers. Still need convincing? Check out our favorite pinafore dresses from designers like Miu Miu and Topshop in the slideshow. It’s Official: Jenni Kayne Created A Bonafide Craze With Her D’Orsay Flats

Thanks to Jenni Kayne, D'Orsay shoes are huge this spring. We know you've seen them. Everyone from Jessica Alba to Emma Roberts owns a pair of the pointy toe flat shoes with the sides missing. D'Orsay shoes had been gone for years, but thanks to Jenni Kayne's stroke of genius they're back in a big way. This spring a whole host of designers are following Jenni Kayne's lead with their own versions of D'Orsay shoes. We're talking Vince, Alice & Olivia, Rachel Comey, Jeffrey Campbell, Stuart Weitzman, Corso Como and more! If ever there was a time to test out the cutout shoe trend, this is it. The Safest Way To Wear Spring’s Blindingly Bright Colors? On Your Shoulder, Of Course

We are firm believers that the best way to ease into a trend is via accessories. So rather than splurging on a head-to-toe ensemble in spring's blinding brights, we're investing in cute, colorful shoulder bags first. A boldly colored purse is a fun, yet simple way to spruce up any outfit--seriously! Just envision your most boring jeans and t-shirt combo with a snazzy flash of hot pink, neon green or electric blue on your shoulder. It works! And lucky for you, there are tons of eye-popping purses to choose from this spring no matter your budget. From Marni and Marc by Marc Jacobs to Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters, the options are endless. Shop our favorite bright shoulder bags in the slideshow.
