Origins Organics Face Wash Smells Like a Hippy–Just A Lot Cleaner

What: Origins Organics Foaming Face Wash, $25

Why: With aloe, clove, patchouli, lavender and other natural ingredients, Origins Organics foaming face wash is brimming with earthy goodness (and do-goodness) intended to cleanse, soothe, and refresh your skin. It even contains olive oil, which, as any messy Italian chef can attest, is a fabulous moisturizer. This wholesome combination results in, quite frankly, a certain goopiness and a hippy smell (we're talking patchouli here, afterall).

Despite those differences, the results I got from this product were absolutely normal. Actually, better. My skin felt as good as after using my regular, mild cleanser, but I got so fresh and clean without the use of nasty chemicals. Ladies, this stuff is 73% organic! Don't you think that anything you're going to rub on your face twice daily should have as little chemical, toxic, and pesticide content as possible? Additionally, because it's packaging is 50% recycled and its farming is sustainable, you know you’re doing right by Mother Earth, too.
