SheFinds Website Review: InStyle’s Hair Makeover
Category: Beauty Hair Care Cool Sites Fashion Celebrity Style
Having trouble passing the time during a slow day at the office? Need something to take your mind off that burgeoning Polyvore addiction? Got a hair appointment in your datebook, but have no idea what magic you're going to ask your stylist to work?
Pop over to InStyle's fabulous—and, most importantly, free—celebrity hairstyle makeover feature and prepare to look like a star. First, upload a head shot. Use one with all of your hair back and a simple tank or top for the best results. Then let the site help you determine your face shape and choose the hair color, highlights, and low lights that are closest to your own (there are tons of combos to choose from, so the end results aren't fakey). Then, on to your celebrity makeover. You can search stars A to Z, or pick a look you're going for from a drop down menu that includes styles for short, long and curly hair, plus a library of updos and styles with bangs.
I recently logged on and avoided a potentially hazardous hair scenario (no Posh Bob for me, thank you!). I also found out I'd look fab with J. Lo's sweepy bangs, but like a poodle with Scarlett's ringlets. If you're ready for a celebrity-worthy change, or if you just want to see what you'd look like rocking The Rachel, get thee to InStyle. Prepare for a new addiction--and for the best haircut you've had.
