This year, Fashion Week seemed a little flat if you will. No, not that there was any lack of energy or excitement, but if you take a look at the selected photos, you'll see that something around the tents was definitely deflated.

It seems that the “half up” hairstyle has taken over for the popular “poof” both on the runway (as seen in L.A.M.B and Custo Barcelona) and in the front row (Kate Bosworth, Padma Lakshmi, J.Lo). This look is a throwback—remember walking to school with your My Little Pony lunchbox in hand—but it's not hard to re-create.

Start off with some moisture-intense cleansing to soften any brittleness. Once blow-dried, section off your hair by the crown—grab a little more hair than you would with the poof—flat iron it pin straight and smooth in a dab of defrissant. Simply bobby pin the hair to the back of your head and you’re good to go.
