Can You Tell Which Combat Boots Cost $71 More Than The Other?
September 3, 2014
I bought a pair of Steve Madden‘s Troopa Boots about two and a half years ago and haven’t really taken them off my feet since. No joke. They’re warm enough to wear during the coldest days of winter with thick socks, but also not too heavy to throw on with a dress or cutoffs during the spring/summer. Having paid under $100 for shoes I wear 300 days of the year, I’d say I definitely got my money’s worth. Those things are still intact! But as much as I do love my Troopas, I think the day has finally come to replace those puppies. No shoemaker can restore the shiny leather they had when I first purchased them.
If you’re looking for your first pair of combat boots, I 100% recommend Troopas. There’s a reason they have 575 reviews and 4/5 out of 5 stars on Nordstrom! But if you’re like me and don’t really feel like spending a ton on something you already own, you’re in luck. Forever 21 (of course) has a very similar looking boot for just $29.90. Can you tell which costs $71 more than the other?
Answer: The one on the left is Steve Madden’s Troopa Boot ($99.95) and the one on the right is Forever 21’s Faux Leather Lace-Up Bootie ($29.90). Did you guess correctly? Which do you like better? Let us know in the comments below!
