Breakfast is known as the most important meal of the day, so do it right! Starting your day with fattening foods like pancakes and waffles will only increase your waistband size, so be careful with what you put in your body. Instead of choosing unhealthy options, eat these nutritious (and delicious!) breakfast options that doctors swear by for a flatter tummy and a happier body!

breakfast eggs

Eggs are probably one of the healthiest foods you can eat for breakfast. Nutritionist Kris Gunnars, BSc, says that eggs are filled with protein, vitamins and nutrients to keep your body running throughout the day. The best part, they only have 77 calories per serving!

whole wheat toast

Not all breads are bad for you! Just make sure you're choosing whole wheat over white bread to start your day. Not only is whole wheat toast lower in calories, but registered dietitian Keri Gans says that whole grains also contain all of the fiber, vitamins, and minerals your body needs to function throughout the day!

turkey bacon healthy

Sure, bacon is tasty, but it's definitely not the healthiest option for breakfast. Instead, go for a leaner option like turkey bacon! It's high in protein, but still lower in fat content in comparison to regular bacon.

avocado healthy breakfast

Lately it seems like every health nut is obsessed with avocados, and for good reason. According to Dr. Josh Axe, this fruit is filled with healthy fats that will actually help maintain and regulate your body's weight and blood sugar levels. They also contain nutrients that help with memory and brain function!
