Life would be so much easier if it were acceptable to wear pajamas or sweatpants at all times. But, alas, that isn't the case, and we have certain dress codes to abide by out in the real world. Lame. However, we rounded up some clothing hacks to make your work and everyday wear almost as comfortable as your favorite pair of PJs.

Stretch Out Your Jeans

Jeans will never be on the same level of comfort as sweats or leggings, but you can still attempt to make them slightly more bearable. Whether you have super tight skinnies or wide-legged boyfriend jeans, get a few wears out of the pants before you head out. This can help stretch out the waist, giving you ample room for food babies. It can also help stretch out the legs if they fit tightly. You might not notice a huge difference, but you'll definitely be more comfortable after that big Friday office lunch.

Stretch Out Shoes, Too

The same policy goes for shoes. No one wants to get to work in a new pair of heels and end the day with swollen and blistered feet. No matter what kind of shoe you buy, walk around the house with them with socks on. When you go to actually wear them, they'll be loosey goosey enough to feel comfortable. You should also invest in shoe inserts to help cushion your feet. Thankfully, athleisure and stylish sneakers have made major waves, so you can worry less about uncomfortable footwear in general.

Alter Your Clothes

We all have different body types and sizes, so not all clothes will be designed to fit everyone perfectly. But wearing a dress that's a size too big all day can make for maximum discomfort—and can also make you look frumpy. Find a cheap local tailor and become their BFF. Fitted clothes look and feel better. You'll be slapping yourself for not getting your clothes tailored before.

Wear Bralettes Under Clothes

Bralettes give you that relieved feeling that you get when you take your bra off at the end of the day. You get support minus the uncomfortable wires and bands of bras. Bralettes can replace strapless bras for a lot of tops and dresses, too. Your clothes will instantly feel more comfortable in the absence of a normal bra.
