She loves them so much and claims the are the reason she became a nutritionist!

Chia seeds make great toppings for yogurt, smoothies, you name it. Try adding them to your next meal and watch that metabolism kick into high gear!

spinach

Spinach

Leafy greens like spinach are a great metabolism booster because of their fiber contents. "High fiber foods like leafy greens can increase your fat burn by 30%," Lori Kenyon Farley, a Certified Nutrition Consultant, tells Organic Authority. She recommends at least 3 servings a day.

beans

Beans

Beans contain both fiber and protein, making them the ultimate metabolism booster.

Dietary proteins take more calories to digest than any other macronutrient,” Erin Palinski-Wade, RD, CDE and author of “Belly Fat for Dummies" tells Organic Authority. "When you boost your intake of protein, you naturally begin to burn more calories each day." So more protein consumer will result in more calories burned since it's harder to break down those foods and takes more energy.

grapefruit

Grapefruit

Grapefruit is always a "buzz food" around weight loss, and for good reason. First, it has been proven to lower insulin levels and it contains vitamin C, which keeps your body healthy and functioning properly. But it's fiber content is what gets the metabolism going.
