As you get older, you may realize that your skin is a lot more fragile than it once was. Fine lines and wrinkles slowly (or extremely fast) start appearing one by one, and your skin may seem drier or flakier than usual. Well, trying to use skin creams and lotions will only go so far, because what you put inside of your body makes a huge difference to the quality of your skin. Remember, you are what you eat, so ditch these foods to avoid early signs of aging and wrinkles!

cereal

Cereals, even the ones marketed as ""healthy," are not doing any favors to your skin. While they are whole grain and considered better than refined grains, these cereals are still packed with added sugar, leading to wrinkle-inducing glucose spikes in your blood stream!

rice cakes

Rice cakes are a huge staple to dieters around the world, but little do they know that it's actually causing wrinkles! They cause your blood sugar levels to skyrocket, and create glucose that damages your skin-firming collagen!

candy

We all know that candy is just overall unhealthy: it causes weight gain, diseases like diabetes, and even wrinkles! That's because they're so loaded with sugar that they push your glucose levels to an all-time high, causing the break-down of collagen and the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

agave syrup

Agave, a fan-favorite sweeting alternative, is actually terrible for your skin! It actually contains high fructose corn syrup, which actually causes a faster breakdown of collagen than regular sugar!
