If you're trying to lose weight, one of the most obvious steps you need to take is watching what you eat. It seems like a simple task but can get very frustrating. Sometimes you want to cave in at lunch, but don't give in! One bad afternoon binge could ruin your weight loss routine for the whole week--so don't let your cravings get the best of you. burger

Greasy takeout burgers are a definite NO in diets! Burgers are considered high-calorie foods and can lead to weight gain. But that's not the only thing you need to worry about when eating these, according to nutrition expert Natalie Stein. She points out that burgers can also mess with your blood pressure and can raise your cholesterol levels!

chips

According to Dr. Mercola, chips are one of the worst foods you could ever eat! He said that these snacks are known for their high amounts of trans fats, which can lead to major health problems.

soda

Soda is a popular drink that you should say goodbye to. It's flooded with sugar and can wreck havoc on your body. Dr. Mercola said that one serving of soda on average has 10 teaspoons of sugar! They're also loaded with artificial colors and additives that can cause major health problems in the near future.

pastries

Baked goods and pastries are made with refined carbs, which have been stripped away of any nutrients during the bleaching process of the flour used. These carbs are filled with empty calories that will be stored as fat in your body, causing your weight loss goals to drift further away from you! "They are also digested quickly and have a high glycemic index. This means that they lead to rapid spikes in blood sugar and insulin levels after meals," nutritionist Adda Bjarnadottir, MS says.
