Employees Of Kylie Jenner's Lip Kit Factory Say It's An Unsafe Place To Work
April 5, 2016
A new report from Radar Online claims that employees of Spatz Laboratories, the factory which produces Kylie Jenner‘s Lip Kit, are not happy with their working conditions. According to reviews on the career site Indeed.com, workers allege that the makeup “makes them sick” and that the environment is like a sweatshop.
One employee writes, “early morning shifts long hours. Read and following instruction on measuring and mixing product for make up. was only provided with lab coat, hair net and safety glasses. No benefits. The Turn over rate was high. I love that I could see how make up was made from start to finished but the down fall is that the make up particles made me cough and sick.”
Another blasts the factory with a review titled “Sweat Shop.” Other claims include “long hours, no home life,” “dangerous place to work. Smells of gases,” “minimum wage was about all you can get” and “too many people, not enough space.”
However, not all the comments are bad. One says, “I loved the way my employer treated me. the way we work as part of a team to get to our goals. its a respectful environment where most employees were happy to be there.” So there’s that.
