Nothing irks me more than a cowboy tuxedo (also known as a denim tuxedo). This type of ensemble is made up of head-to-toe denim. Some popular combinations include a floor-length jean dress, a denim button-down shirt paired with a denim skirt, and the DREADED jean jacket paired with jeans. The latter of the 3 reigning as the most offensive (in this writer's humble opinion), a jean jacket should only be worn with pants or skirts of other materials. It can be difficult to avoid the cowboy tuxedo because 1) denim is just so darn comfortable and 2) it can make you look apathetically cool, a la James Dean. However, an outfit made entirely out of denim just screams country bumpkin. If Justin and Britney couldn't resist the allure of an all-denim getup, how can we mere mortals expect to avoid it? It's simple, limit yourself to one denim item per outfit, (this includes purses). The denim piece and the other materials will complement each other by their contrasts.
