Luckily, handbags are always a good investment because, unlike other wardrobe staples, you can wear them as many consecutive days as you want without getting nailed by the Fashion Police. What’s also serendipitous is that one of our favorite bag trends – the rock ‘n’ roll studded look, is majorly in style for fall. Here are some of our favorites:

The Matt & Nat Scrilla ($101.97, down from $255) is an earthy take on a studded tote with its vegan status and slouchy, easy silhouette. Don’t be fooled – it works just as easily with a chic, nighttime look as it does with jeans and a tee.

In the “Yes, Please!” category, this MICHAEL Michael Kors Uptown Astor Large Shoulder Tote ($448) is pretty much handbag nirvana. We have trouble imagining an outfit this wouldn’t look amazing with, plus it has strap options, always a good thing.

For maximum impact, the Morcheba Clutch from Malene Birger ($445) is your best bet. Because this foldover clutch mixes different metals and shapes, your other accessories will fit right in and further enhance the rocker-glam chicness of this bag. We love it with a cropped blazer and skinny jeans or a little black dress.

Olivia Harris’ lambskin Studded Ball Leather Hobo ($495) mixes a classic chain strap with the super trendy studded look to arrive at a bag that’s edgy and elegant at the same time, bound to be a wardrobe staple for a long time.

And if you’d need to sell your gold fillings to afford some of the pricier studded options, we feel your pain. Thankfully, Old Navy brings us the supercute Old Navy Studded Hobo ($30.50) which has a comfortable carrying shape and an on-trend trim of mixed metal embellishments, and leaves you some money for a killer pair of over the knee boots.

Believe it or not – this is what Claudia Schiffer wears to pick up her kids from school. I cannot think of a cooler fall look for anyone – I personally would wear this chic outfit out, rather than to carpool. From the cheetah dress (animal prints are huge this fall) to the camel blazer, opaque tights and taupe leather folder bag – she nailed it. And so can you:

Everybody knows about the genius of chic camel coats for fall, but how about a camel blazer? Get Claudia’s cool look with this Stretch flannel two-button jacket ($199) – you can pair it with everything from a white tee and dark jeans, to a hot dress.

Cheetah print is one of my favorite animal prints – it always looks cool and never cheesy. This Rebecca Taylor Spot On dress ($195) is a great neutral color that can be worn as a party dress with black pumps, or as a more every day style with tights and a blazer or flat boots.

Completely opaque tights are a wardrobe essential – you will love these Donna Karan ‘Signature Luxury’ tights ($18) for their great price and sexy black hue.

Finally – a bootie with a heal so comfortable you can wear it to carpool (well, sort of). These Stuart Weitzman ‘Honcho’ booties ($375) are chic enough for a supermodel, but comfortable enough for the rest of us.

A taupe, flat front satchel like Claudia’s is perfect for everyday use – get major bang for your buck with this Kirra Nollied Buckle Crossbody Bag ($24.50). The price – and the neutral color – make it an irresistible fall bag.

Leopard print is not just for South Beach retirees and Vegas casinos anymore. The animal print has never been hotter, and it’s popping up everywhere this season, from the fall 2010 Moschino runway to Urban Outfitters. Here are five perfect leopard pieces to pick up for fall– just don’t wear them all at the same time.

Steve Madden’s Caryssa heels in Leopard ($89.95) are more versatile than they look. The shoes can add just the right amount of sexy to an otherwise all-black sheath dress, or even a splash of vintage glamour to your favorite pair of skinny jeans.

Leopard clothing, unlike accessories, can be a bit trickier to pull off and not end up looking like Peggy Bundy. But this AKA New York Cocoon Top ($238) makes it simple, with a loose silky fabric and airy dolman sleeves.

Shenae Grimes Celebrates 90210 Day With A Clashing Outfit And Visible Lace Boyshorts

Shenae Grimes celebrated “90210 Day” at The Taste of Beverly Hills Festival by wearing underwear and a floral bedsheet-looking top. We know she’s excited for the new season of 90210, so we hope this isn’t a sign of things to come. It looks more like she grabbed random clothes from her closet and tried to make it work.

What She Did Wrong:

Shenae’s outfit has way too much going on. Whether it’s the embellished undershirt or tacky floral print, it doesn’t work.

The awkward length and boxy shoulders on the top does nothing for the petite frame of this tiny actress.

What She Should Have Done:

A more feminine floral pattern would work wonders for Shenae. The colors of this Joie Reed Rustic Floral Tunic ($254) just scream fall and the loose shape of the shirt will hide everything.

Because the shorts look more like underwear, we’re suggesting a lace skirt to dress things up. This Express Lace Mini Skirt ($49.50) is still trendy for fall and will make her legs look miles long.

Instead of black cut-out oxfords, Shenae should opt for a nude heeled oxford like this one by Cynthia Vincent ($325). This popular nude color matches all prints and fabrics.

We can’t figure out why Shenae is wearing an embellished top underneath, but we swapped it with a nude camisole. This Commando Skinny Strap Cami ($42) is almost invisible to the eye, leaving plenty to the imagination (while keeping her covered underneath).

Cool Wallets To Keep You Calm While You Blow Your Savings On A New Fall Wardrobe

With the workouts our bank accounts get during fall shopping season, it pays to have a cute wallet to soften the blow by giving you something pretty to look at each time you make a purchase. Plus, a great wallet is itself a great fall purchase, cheaper than a whole handbag, and a lot more useful since you use it every single day. Here are some of our favorite choices from around the web.

The Coach Madison Medium Wallet ($118) is sophisticated on the outside but young at heart on the inside with its petal-colored interior. A lifelong classic, this wallet is a sound investment, even if the purchases you make with it go out of style.

Kate Spade’s Big Apple Card Wallet ($55) is an affordable, high-gloss way to get in on the season’s hottest color and not overstuff your bag in the process, especially if you blew most of your shopping budget on skinny jeans and over the knee boots.

One of my favorite accessories trends is the studded look, and the Banana Republic Minna Studded Leather Wallet ($79.50) gets it right by not overdoing it, making this wallet a keeper long after we’re sick of studs.

Remember best friend necklaces? We do too, and we adore Rebecca Minkoff’s Best Friends Pouches ($73.50, down from $98), a playful but grown-up version of the trend. Give it as a gift or split the set with a friend and your half is less than $40!

To reward yourself for not going out and buying a knockoff off the Van Cleef and Arpels clover necklace, consider the chic Comme des Garcons Zip Around Wallet ($215). Season after season, this clover-embossed wallet will make you feel like a million bucks.
