Find Out What Your Favorite Beyoncé Album Says About You
May 3, 2016
Beyoncé really, truly run(s) the world. She is the Queen and we are all but peasants illegally streaming her visual album. From Dangerously In Love to Lemonade, Beyoncé has proven that her talent spans many a genre and demographic. Which number one album is your number one album? Which Beyoncé is your Beyoncé?
Dangerously In Love (2003)
If Beyoncé’s debut solo album is your jam, your heart is stuck in the late ’90s and early ’00s. You love Queen Bey, but honestly, you’re still bitter about Destiny’s Child’s breakup. Your friends are always harping on you, like Yo, Valerie, you’re soooo out of touch. Haters gonna hate, but you’ll always be crazy in love with the past ;) Unsurprisingly, your ideal Saturday involves a generous serving of Dippin’ Dots, the first season of Freaks and Geeks, and tattoo chokers galore!
If B’Day speaks to you, you are of the purest form of Beyoncé fandom. You aren’t swayed by current fads and of-the-moment crazes. Queen Bey has been your girl from the start — you were writing Jay Z and Beyoncé fan fic long before Becky entered the picture. You’ve always been a trendsetter, so it can really get on your nerves when people blindly follow your lead. Try to be less judgemental — remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
I AM… SASHA FIERCE (2008)
If Sasha Fierce is your Bey of choice—I’mma let you finish, but this is one of the best albums of all time—you are a rare breed. Most people consider you to be independent and wholly modern when it comes to romance (a single lady at heart), but that honestly couldn’t be further from the truth. You’re obsessed with old-fashioned love stories and you hold your Pinterest Wedding board in higher esteem than you do most friends and family members.
If 4 is your go-to album, you have a fine appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. Happy family Beyoncé is your favorite Beyoncé, Jay Z reminds you of your weird uncle, and Blue Ivy is your style icon. You really do love long walks on the beach, you’re not just saying that.
If you think Beyoncé’s self-titled album is her magnum opus, you’re right, and you also have really nice hair (GTFO, Becky).
If Lemonade is your favorite shade of Beyoncé, you are a fixer. You try your best to avoid conflict, but when problems do arise you make sure to work them out ASAP. You may be screaming “Don’t Hurt Yourself” on the inside, but your outside is playing “All Night” on repeat.
