Get Clean, Don't Strip Your Skin
January 16, 2008
Why: Winter works all kinds of wonders on skin–and I don't mean wonders of the good kind. Even women who struggle with oily skin during the rest of the year suddenly find themselves battling dry patches and flakey patches. What to do? Consider switching to a new cleanser.
I started using Shu Uemura's cleaning oil last year, put it on rest during the summer, then brought it back out this summer. Although you might struggle with the thought of using oil to clean your skin, this stuff really gets rid of make-up and dirt but won't leave you face even slightly greasey. Quite the opposite, in fact. You'll be treated to soft, clean skin that's a helluva lot happier than it was when you were scrubbing away at it with your summer-appropriate cleanser. You change everything else with the seasons–doesn't it make sense you'd adjust your skin care routine, too?
