Gossip Girl Style: The Upper East Side’s Spring Forecast

Ladies, aren't you just dying for a new episode of Gossip Girl? We don't have too wait long — new episodes start next Monday (eee!) To celebrate, we've got a few style previews. Remember, when we left our favorite over-privileged Upper East Siders, the gang had just celebrated Christmas; well, that pesky writers' strike left us in a chilly weather time warp. That means we're gonna be seeing more fabulous coats and winter wear (read: great for our viewing pleasure, not so great for our style-stealing pleasure.) Still, if GG has taught us anything, it's that when there's a will, there's a way, so we've translated some of our favorite styles into springtime-friendly looks we can copy right now.

There's a new Queen Bee in town. Our little Jenny Humphrey unseated resident BGOC Blair for the title in a stunning coup last season. Judging from preview shots, she's taking the title to heart, sporting kicky red patent heels (with socks!) and a winter white coat. Get the look for spring with a three-quarter sleeve pearl-colored jacket from Kensie ($96). You'll need to save every penny you can get your French manicured mitts on if you want Jenny's grape-colored bag—that Valentino model rings up at $2,295 (did that Queen Bee promotion come with a major pay raise or what?). For a slightly more conservativie option, this Gerard Darel tote ($895) happens to be a celeb favorite.

Poor B and S. Used to being Constance Billard's main event, these two are at least sticking together as style sisters. Cop a coat like Blair's blue one from Michael Kors ($96). Everyone needs a little trench for spring, and a cobalt version is such a bold and happy alternative to blah beige. Serena's luxe leather bomber is a must-have anytime, so maybe you won't feel so guilty dropping $775 on a timeless Elizabeth & James number. Scrunchable sleeves and a cute crop make it ideal for the season's chillier days.

Finally, it's time for some new blood! Michelle Trachtenberg will be reporting for diva duty in mid-May. We wonder if she'll be sporting the chic gunmetal swing coat she's got on here. Nab a Tara Jarmon tie-neck jacket ($248) before Michelle's debut, and you'll impress your fashionista friends with your foresight.
