What: Restoration Rocks Jewelry, $175 - $395
Why: If you've ever had the privilege of visiting the Guggenheim Museum in New York, then you've certainly been taken aback by its incredible architectural design by Frank Lloyd Wright. The building ascends into a seemingly endless spiral, and exhibits unfold before your eyes on stark white backgrounds as you climb up the ramps. Recently, the building's facade underwent a makeover, and rather than toss the remnants of the original structure, the Guggenheim's geniuses decided to hire renowned jewelry designer, Cara Tilker, to take pieces of the original exterior and create a line of jewelry.
The collection, called Restoration Rocks, consists of eclectic necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets, and cuff links. The fragments are enveloped in acrylic and attached to sterling silver. Some pieces are also available in 14-karat gold. (And all incorporate the spiral theme seen in Wright's design of the museum.)
This innovative line is available until the fragments run out - which is sure to be in a New York minute.
