What: Wayfarer Sunglasses
Why: Mary Kate, Sienna Miller, Scarlett Johansson and Kate Moss have all been caught wearing these throwbacks from the days of Miami Vice, the Blues Brothers and Tom Cruise in Risky Business. Thanks to them picking up this trend, it seems that wayfarers are up for a revival. Nonetheless, even with a celebrity following, one has to decide for themselves whether they really love the style — and more importantly, whether or not it works with your face.
Personally, these boxy frames with a little bit of wing on the hinges actually look good on my round face, instead of overwhelming it like oversize frames do. Wayfarers are also well suited for people with heart-shaped and oval faces.
All in all I say, if skinny jeans, converse sneakers and ankle booties are back in style, why not these sunglass classics?

NOT… these are not a flattering frame shape for any face, in my opinion. I lived through these in the 80’s and won’t wear them again!

I think these glasses are immense! They give a perfect amount of retro, mannish cool to counterbalance all of the forthy, romantic clothes which are huge this season.
They may not perfectly suit people, but that doesn’t make them unflattering to most.
They are definetely very cool, and I cannot wait to go out and buy myself a pair.
