With warm weather starting to shine through, the last thing any woman wants is for her makeup to run or smudge throughout the day. After all, who doesn’t love coming home with makeup that looks as flawless as it did when you left the house in the morning?! Lucky for you, I’m here to share how you can make it happen.
Chances are, you start your skincare routine with primer, then follow up with foundation and a setting powder. Believe it or not, however, you can ensure your makeup stays put longer by switching up this order. Follow these steps for a long-lasting look:
Step One: Moisturize! Always start with a moisturizer so your foundation doesn’t cake up. Plus, it will give your skin a nice, healthy glow.
Step Two: Prime your face, which will help lock in your foundation.
Step Three: This is where things change. Instead of putting your foundation on next, use a translucent setting powder. This not only locks in your moisturizer and primer, but it also allows you to use less foundation and fills in any lines.
Step Four: Apply your foundation. My favorite full coverage and long lasting foundation is Estee Lauder’s Double Wear foundation.
Trust us, you won’t regret using this trick the next time you apply your makeup.
