I Risked Heat Exhaustion (And Crazy Brides) For The First Pics Of Cynthia Rowley's Bridesmaid Collection
June 4, 2010
Last night, in a 90 degree room filled with feisty, champagne-fueled brides, I feasted my eyes on the brand-new Cynthia Rowley Bridesmaids collection (now available on Dessy.com). The reason for the mayhem? Excitement about her much-anticipated line, plus an incentive from mobile app Foursquare: gals who “checked in” to the event were given $25 gift certificates, 15% off at dessy.com, and were entered to win a $500 gift set.
If you’re a fall or winter bride, the collection comes packed with some very strong floor length options. She also nailed two popular necklines in the line – one old (strapless) and one new (asymmetrical). Check out the creme of the crop: (prices range from $175 to $220).
Cynthia Rowley’s one-shoulder dress with bow detail (Style 8015) was a huge favorite; I thought a fist fight might break when several brides reached for it at the same time.
For the brides having black-tie weddings, this floor length one-shoulder dress (Style 8005) was a hot commodity. It’s no wonder – the dress is totally glamorous.
I overheard rave reviews about this sweet, one-of-a kind sateen dress with matte satin ribbon detail (Style 8008). One particularly preppy bride looked like she had found the holy grail of b-maid dresses.
Among all the strapless options, this cocktail length dress (Style 8004) was a particular hit; the ruffled chiffon bodice caught many bride’s eyes.
