Kanye West Rants About Barneys, Paris Fashion Week and Racism in a Margiela Mask

Kanye West‘s rants are about as commonplace as Macys sales these days. Give Kim Kardashian‘s soon-to-be husband a mic and no topic is off limits from Adolf Hitler to leather joggers. This time around, the rapper interrupted his “Yeezus” tour in Las Vegas to give the whole world a verbal tongue lashing. He faced the crowd at MGM Grand Garden Arena wearing a trenchcoat, Maison Martin Margiela mask and neon sneakers to sound off on any and everything that’s bothering him these days.
North West‘s Dad voiced his thoughts on friend Jay Z‘s Barneys racial profiling controversy, saying: “It’s that broke n—-r racism! That’s that ‘don’t touch anything in the store.’ That’s that ‘can I help you, sir?’ That’s that racial profiling at Barneys.” He even shared his grievances about Paris Fashion Week. “You don’t see no black people at the end of the runway in Paris,” he said. He compared attending fashion shows to civil rights sit-in protests: “They didn’t let us in the fashion shows, that’s what you don’t realize. We were up in that mother—— like the sit-ins.”
Kanye’s emotional outburst was as peculiar as you’d expect but to be honest, if we had the chance to complain about Fashion Week seating arrangements in custom Maison Martin Margiela, we’d totally do it.
