Lady Gaga And Vogue Prove That Gray Hair Is No Longer For Grandma
August 2, 2010
Blondes might have more fun, but gray hair is slowly taking over – and it’s not just for grandma anymore. Lady Gaga sported a gray mane on the cover of September’s Vanity Fair. Meanwhile, model Kristen McMenamy has come back into the industry with her full head of silver locks (as seen on the cover of the August Italian Vogue). Even Kate Moss showed off a few strands of gray when the trend reared its silver head 6 months ago. We thought the look was going to fade away, but it seems to have unlikely staying power. What do you think?
If you’re bold enough, try the trend for yourself:
For an instant (and temporary) fix, disguise your hair under this Silver Wig ($8.50) from PrettyPartyPlace. And if the trend dies, you’re ready for Halloween.
Lighten your locks with Clairol’s Balsam Color in Ash Blonde ($2.54). A blonder version of the trend is perfect in case you’re skeptical about the look.
Go ultra light with Garnier Nutrisse’s Nourishing Color Creme in White Chocolate ($7.49). This color is definitely Gaga-approved.
