Lane Bryant's #PlusIsEqual Campaign Is Empowering Women Everywhere
September 15, 2015
In Vogue’s September issue, there was a two-page spread featuring a new plus-size lingerie line and no one knew who was behind it…until now. Lane Bryant has announced they are the brains behind the operation and their new campaign is called #PlusIsEqual. The Fall 2015 campaign is centered around women of all shapes and sizes feeling comfortable and sexy in their own skin.
#PlusIsEqual stars top models Candice Huffine, Ashley Graham, Precious Victoria Lee, Georgia Pratt, Justine Legault and Sabina Karlsson. “67% of US women are size 14 to 34. But they’re underrepresented on billboards, magazines, TV…everywhere. We believe all women should be seen and celebrated equally, ” it states on the campaign website.
In the campaign video, one model is heard saying, “I don’t think it matters what size you are. I think it’s time to represent all kinds of women. Proud, strong, fashion-forward, stylish, super awesome—everyone deserves to be celebrated. No one’s ignoring us anymore.” Watch the video below.
