Myth Debunked: Eating Before Bed Makes You Gain Weight

The clock strikes midnight, and you’re lying in bed. You’re trying to deny it, but you know why you’re still up… you’re starving. Well, guess what? We have great news for you! We’re about to tell you why you don’t have to resist a snack right before bed any longer–yes, we are debunking the myth that eating before going to sleep makes you fat.
According to a source from WebMD, “It’s the total amount you take in over a period of time compared to how much you burn that determines if you will gain weight.” So what does this mean for us? The way we gain weight doesn’t revolve around a 24-hour clock. However, we probably still shouldn’t be stuffing our faces with Chipotle before bed (but sometimes we can’t help it, we’re human-re: extra guac).
