Scratch, a new Kickstarter-funded nail wrap brand from LA, is tapping into the genius ‘real’ polish wrap phenomenon. And by ‘real’ we mean, the wraps actually contain real nail polish. Could this be a glimpse into the future of nails? If so, no complaints here. Each set of strips contains a base coat, nail art and top coat, and can be applied flawlessly in 1 coat and less than 10 minutes. And no drying time. Zilch. Nada.
And Scratch takes it one step further. Each month they’ll be teaming up with a different influential nail artist, designer, blogger or illustrator from around the world on a one-of-a-kind collection of wraps. Their current collection was designed by NailedIt UK, a faux nail brand, who used inspiration from British Royalty for the designs. The Scratch x NailedIt UK Collection ($12/set) includes designs Rococo Gold, Ruby Honeycomb and Sublime Sapphire, and a percentage of profits goes towards supporting the artist.
Sadly, the fab Scratch Watermelon Nail Wraps ($12) are sold out for now. But rumor has it they’ll be bringing them back since they’ve raised over $36,000 on Kickstarter to fund their next three collections—their goal was $6k. Dayummm!
