Skineez Skincarewear ($68) doesn’t promise to change the world, just your thighs. And I’ll admit as I get started on this newest road test, I’m a little skeptical, as always! This product is a body slimmer that extends from the bottom of your ribcage to mid-thigh… think Bridget Jones’ oh-so-seductive girdle.
The garment comes pre-treated with Skintex microcapsules that can be refreshed with a citrus-smelling spray after six to 10 washes. Their literature claims that in a six week clinical study conducted amongst more than 20 women who wore the garment for eight hours a day and 6 days a week, waist measurements shrank an average of one inch and thigh measurements decreased an average of 0.4 inches. Hmm, we'll see.
In order to achieve the eight hours per day needed for the results, I’ll probably be sleeping in the garment, which may not be as uncomfortable as it first sounds since the stretchy material is quite soft and forgiving.
Check back in a month or so to see the results of this latest road test… and in the meantime, see what happened with other skincare products we’ve tried.
