Skullcandy's New Headphones Are Designed For Women ONLY
April 28, 2014
It’s a fact that most tech products these days aren’t geared towards women. That’s why we wrote about 8 lady-friendly items that are specifically designed for us gals. And now we have one more to add to that list. Skullcandy just designed a new range of headphones engineered just for women, after research revealed that males and females hear differently. I mean, #noduh. That’s why guys “deny” they hear anything we ask them to do!
There’s three styles, the Knockout ($99), the Bombshell ($49) and the Dime ($29), which all come in floral print, pastel blue and basic black. The new headphones are designed to produce a deeper base and natural sounding vocals. The study conducted at the Indiana University School of Medicine also found that women are more sensitive to high-pitched sounds and more accurately hear soft sounds. So it makes sense that someone would use this info to create new female-specific headphones! Plus, Skullcandy promises “Your hair will no longer suffer in the name of good music,” thanks to the Knockout style’s reduced clamping force on the fitted headband. We’re sold!
